"Depending on where in the fab you go, the lighting is really annoying. In most areas it is lit like any other industrial place, with everything painted a sterile white and lit by extra-white fluorescent lighting. But in any area with photosensitive chemicals (mostly photoresists for lithography) they use yellow lights. Those are really annoying to work in if you're not used to it. I know a few people who work in litho who started getting headaches from the yellow light, and were prescribed blue-tinted safety glasses so they feel better."
